About

Hi!  Thanks for stopping by & taking the time to look around my baby blog.  I'm a first time mother-to-be due in July of 2012 (hopefully before the unbearable heat of a New England Summer comes around).

My husband & I were married on October 23rd of 2010 (more on that here) & have been enjoying our "Happily Ever After" since that day. We live in a small "New England-esque" town on the shoreline of Connecticut in an 1849 Italianate colonial semi-fixer upper (much of which we haven't quite gotten around to fixing up yet, but that process has been sped up a bit lately). Making our home complete are our two mischievous rescue cats, Boots & Abby.

(pardon the fuzzy blackberry camera photo)

I've often thought of starting a blog about them called "The Adventures of Boots & Abby" but quickly realized that the posts would look something like "sleep, eat, play, get into some kind of trouble, repeat", so that may not be a very captivating read.

In November of 2011, we found out that our Ever After was about to get even Happier & we could be more thrilled.

After 3 months of keeping, what was quite possibly, the biggest secret of my life I decided I couldn't keep it in any longer & had to shout it from the rooftop, to share it with the world...

& thus this blog was born...
After being asked more times than I can count if I would be starting a baby blog & my answer each time was "no way, they take up too much time"... & then one day I realized I couldn't fight it anymore.  I was dying to write down my experiences & what I was going through on this journey into motherhood.  So, this blog will most likely be part journal, part just-for-fun & part "we'll see what happens"   I can't promise you any daily posts as I'm a bit busy already with a full time job, wedding blogging, & baking this little bun in my oven (ew, I know I hate that saying but I couldn't help it) but I hope that you'll still want to come by every so often & visit.  Oh, & I will not be accepting sponsorship advertisements (but if you'd like to send me something neat to review I might be interested, shoot me an email!)

So that's my story for now follow along & read my "to be continued"...

xx

*Why "Baby's Breath" you ask?  Because it goes so nicely alongside Sparkle & Hay, of course.  But don't worry, I won't be swaddling the baby in burlap.
(Thank you, Thea).
